A classic blend of spicy Syrah and full Grenache. Lots of berry fruit with an evolving touch of herbal notes and mocha richness. Wonderful with or without food. Great on a cold winter’s night.

Maipe | 2008 | Malbec | Argentina | $19

Highly acclaimed single vineyard bottling. A broad rich palate with a savory mouthfeel and long finish. Chateauneuf lovers will approve of this effort. Earthen and spiced. Loads of berry and more interesting profiles like licorice and pepper. This is the muscle car of Cote du Rhone.

Teatown Right Bank | 2005 | Merlot Blend | California | $33
Lots of finesse. Named for the right bank of the Garonne River in Bordeaux. Blended to form with Merlot leading the way. This is a deep rich dark fruited wine. Very elegant indeed.
